Dr Wayne Best is delighted to announce that Epichem Pty Ltd has been selected as a Finalist in the Small Business Export Award category of the 2010 Western Australian Industry and Export Awards program.  This prestigious award, coordinated by the Department of Commerce, is in its 22^nd year and seeks to recognise and honour the "best of the best" of Western Australian export businesses.  The winners of each of the twelve export award categories from each State and Territory automatically progress as national finalists to the 2010 Australian Export Awards.  Announcement of the WA winners is conducted at a black tie event at the Hyatt Regency Perth on Friday 22 October, 2010 and the team at Epichem are looking forward to an exciting evening.  In an address to staff, Dr Best heartily congratulated the committed team at Epichem saying, "The competition is quite tough so I think we have done extremely well to get this far at our first attempt".

Epichem Pty Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Barry Epstein as Vice President Marketing.  Barry brings to Epichem over 25 years of international and national expertise in sales, marketing and business development in the healthcare, biotechnology and information technology industries among several others. His appointment reflects Epichem's commitment to increasing the range of products and services it offers to the drug discovery and pharmaceutical industries.

Barry had an esteemed career with Fortune 500 company, Johnson & Johnson Ultrasound (USA) for whom he was responsible for worldwide product marketing and clinical validation experience and acquired industry leadership and generating more than US$70 million per annum through launching many new and highly innovative medical diagnostic products.  Barry has held senior positions in several privately operated Australian medical services, biotechnology and drug discovery companies and not-for-profit organisations.  He is an active member of the Licensing Executive Society of Australia and New Zealand, AusBiotech and the Australian Institute of Management.
